Sanat\u00e7\u0131 art\u0131k imzas\u0131 haline gelen post-it ve ipek bask\u0131 tekni\u011fi kullan\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n yan\u0131 s\u0131ra ba\u015fka bask\u0131 teknikleriyle tekrar yorumlad\u0131\u011f\u0131 siyasi lider portrelerine yer verecek. 1980ler sonras\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7alkant\u0131l\u0131 siyasi d\u00f6nemine damgas\u0131n\u0131 vuran parti liderlerinin birbirleriyle uzla\u015famamalar\u0131ndan yola \u00e7\u0131karak olu\u015fturdu\u011fu sergide \u00d6zmeno\u011flu, sanatsal \u00e7er\u00e7evede de olsa liderleri ve s\u00f6ylemlerini adeta ayn\u0131 mekan i\u00e7inde bir araya getirerek \u00e7arp\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131yor.<\/p>\n

\u201cPolitical Arena\u201d is the fifth personal exhibition of Ardan \u00d6zmeno\u011flu whose previous works have been shown in several exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. The artist\u2019s latest series reflect the traces of having grown up during a time when the rhetorics and the promises of the political leaders of the 1980s increasingly heated up the democratic climate in Turkey.<\/p>\n
The artist uses several different printing techniques including her signature silk printing on post-its to reformulate prominent political figures of the era. Taking the fact that the political leaders were unable to compromise with each other as a starting point, \u00d6zmeno\u011flu manages to bring together these familiar political faces and their notorious rhetoric under the same roof, even if it is only in an artistic layout.<\/p>\n
